Two prime location public housing (PLH) projects—Verandah @ Kallang and Tanglin Halt Cascadia— were launched in October’s BTO exercise.
Six of the eight projects, including some which are, by traditional demarcation, classified as mature estates, are expected to be completed within four years or less.
The introduction of a priority category known as the First-Timer (Parents and Married Couples), as well as stricter rules for the non-selection of flats kicked in, this launch.
First-timer families including First-Timer (Parents and Married Couples)→ considered second-timers for one year in the computer ballot
Second-timer families and first-timer singles→ barred from submitting an application for a new flat, for a year
BTO/ Sale of balance flat (SBF) applicants who have obtained a queue position within the flat supply can only apply for a flat after the completion of their flat booking appointment purchase
