In conjunction with the MInistry of Health (MOH), the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has launched a site at Parry Avenue for sale by public tender.

Set to be a pilot development for private assisted living, the senior-friendly residence would not only allow seniors greater independence in their day-to-day lives through the integration of care services that are scalable according to their needs.

At least 60% of the maximum permissible gross floor unit (GFA) would be allocated for assisted living use, while a minimum of 20% of the maximal permissible GFA would be designated for Health and Medical Care (H&MC) use, including the mandatory provision of at least 100 nursing home beds.

Residents would also be able to enjoy the proximity of the development— located within Rosyth Estate— to a neighbourhood park and Heartland Mall.

With the greater availability of assisted living options for public and private housing, seniors would be able to lead a lifestyle of their choice.
