The impact of surging rentals has been felt across the board, with locals and expatriates alike turning to alternatives that offer greater affordability.


While the increase in rental is in part due to the higher mortgage rates, as well as maintenance fees and property taxes, there remains a difference between landlords and tenants’ expectations.


Despite a comparable rise in rental prices, rental flats may nonetheless be more viable an option. Some have also found themselves inclined towards purchasing a property.
