While the number of applicants for the Build-to-Order (BTO) exercise might have decreased in November, the demand for new flats persists, with over 25,000 opting for Sales of Balance flats— more than that for BTO units.

While this may be due to the fact that many have secured their homes over the course of the previous BTO exercises, it could also suggest an emphasis on shorter waiting times. Some may have also turned to the resale market instead, with the latest cooling measures potentially translating to a decline in prices.
