Clementi Polyclinic will be redeveloped at a new— and larger— site, and a new polyclinic, launched in Taman Jurong. Both would be operated by the National University Polyclinics (NUP).
The redeveloped polyclinic is set to cater to the diverse needs of patients and visitors. The mother-child dyad service, which is currently available at two polyclinics, will be rolled out in Clementi Polyclinic among others, over the next three years. This would allow nursing mothers lactation support at the redeveloped clinic.
The incorporation of elderly-friendly and accessibility features into Clementi Polyclinic and the new polyclinic in Taman Jurong is also part of the move towards ensuring greater inclusivity in Singapore’s healthcare infrastructure. Residents can expect greater healthcare support not only in terms of the network of polyclinics across the country, but also accessibility that would cater to the various groups.
The redevelopment of Clementi Polyclinic is slated to be completed by 2027, while the polyclinic in Taman Jurong would be opened by 2028. The existing Clementi Polyclinic will continue its operations in the meantime.
