As the global impact of the coronavirus expands, the number of HDB resale flats and private non-landed homes see a jump in numbers in May 2020. The curb in-person home viewings have contributed this increase.

With people forced to stay indoors, businesses that have traditionally relied on physical sales have taken to new platforms, including livestreams and zoom.
Straits Times (10June) mentioned that new private home sales rebounded as homeowners are relying mainly on virtual viewings to inspect potential homes amidst circuit breaker measurements so to ease their anxieties for continued plan transactions.
Viewing technology has made it easy for anxious and potential buyers or tenants; it provided a remarkably realistic “walk-through” tour of the properties. With the convenience of the time and comfort of their own home. This process proved to save time of property viewing and travelling allowing buyers and renters at their own pace.
In particular, there may be a chance to assess whether properties in areas that have not been considered before the circuit breaker could work as it could allow for more willingness to make concessions and negotiate.
More consumers are adapting to the seamless virtual viewings and it has become the norm for quick and comfortable viewing.
